Barbara has been teaching and practising yoga for a number of years and holds the British Wheel of Yoga (BWYDip) teaching diploma. Barbara has studied and practised Iyengar, Ashtanga, Dynamic and Hatha yoga with many renown, experienced and inspiring teachers and has learnt something valuable from all of them - which she brings into her own practice and teaching.
Barbara believes that the 'body' and 'mind' are our inner teachers. As a result of of experiential learning, practice and self awareness she continues to be amazed at the human body and it's capabilities. As a result of this, her own practice and teaching continues to evolve and develop.
Barbara teaches yoga to adults and children and her background in training and development, coaching and teaching yoga has given her tremendous insight into how we, as individuals learn and develop.
Barbara's enthusiasm for yoga and wellbeing is infectious and her yoga classes demonstrate that learning and exploration can be fun.
Barbara teaches an eclectic style of yoga and her classes range from a very relaxed therapeutic style to a much more dynamic flow style. Barbara believes yoga is a wonderful tool for discovering your authentic self, honouring your body and exploring your inner child.
Barbara has a particular interest in 'yoga as therapy' and regularly works on a one-to-one basis with clients that have various chronic illnesses, musculoskeletal, physiological, mental and emotional challenges.
Yoga can be of benefit to all and compliments other activities. Even if you have never practised yoga it is never too late to try it, all you need is an open mind.
